Dragon Day In Washington

Dragon Day was held on July 5th. Here you see the artist, Erynn Ann, with her blue dragon eggs. She told us they have blue spots. (FYI -- blue is Erynn's favorite color. She has assigned the rest of us our favorite colors, whether we like them or not.) :o) Erynn and GG enjoyed creating Dragon Art together. You can see the self-satisfaction on Erynn's face.....

Viewed from outside, the dragon shows up well -- the eggs are a little harder to see, but look closely - they are there.

Dragon Tag was a great game for Dragon Day. Everyone had squirt bottles and chased one another around the yard. Here you see Erynn honing in on Daddy.

Turn-about is fair play as both Dad and Mom aim at Erynn. You can see her back-handed squirt at Dad, while protecting her face from his Dragon squirting.

Cousin Katie joins Mom in chasing Erynn, who seems pretty adept at getting away.

We artists tried another art form - Marble Paintings. Here we have coated marbles (that resemble dragon eggs) with poster paint and are rolling them around to create some modern art.

Here are three masterpieces -- Move over Jackson Pollock!

We planned to end the day with kite flying, but the wind wasn't cooperating very well!

At least the kite had a brief flight. The decision was made to wait for another day and try kite flying with Grandpa and Grandma Kelly.

One other activity was hunting for blue (of course) dragon eggs and finding the prizes inside. We ended the day with watching Sleeping Beauty. If you recall, there is a pretty fiercesome dragon in that movie!
